CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

US Performing Arts offers programs in Animation, Computer Animation, Costume design, Directing, Film-making (including 4K High-definition), Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Musical Theater, Play-writing, Sit Com Writing, Sit Com Acting, Singing, Voice-over work for animation, movies and games, and we started the first College Audition Boot Camps for high school students.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: A limited number of partial scholarships are available through US Performing Arts. US Performing Arts will also work with parents on payment plans.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: College Audition Boot Camp for High School Seniors held in October-November.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:

CAMP FACILITIES: Swimming pond, boating and fishing pond, 4 outdoor pools, 2 outdoor basketball/street hockey courts, tennis courts, zipline, climbing wall, high and low ropes course, adventure kingdom, barn and horseback riding ring, 5 sports fields, target paintball range, music studio, golf driving, putting chipping areas, vegetable and herb garden, arts and crafts building, a variety of outdoor shelter areas.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1960, Camp Sewataro has been sharing the joy of traditional day camping with boys and girls, initiating them into a world of new and exciting adventures, activities, and friendships. The Spirit of Sewataro creates memories that last a lifetime. Values such as teamwork, fair play, cooperation, and sportsmanship, are instilled and encouraged. This builds self-confidence and a sense of community, resulting in children who come away feeling good about themselves and believing they have something valuable to offer others.

Lunch service is available. Bus transportation is available from Boston, Cambridge and the MetroWest area. Our campers gather from as close by as Sudbury, Weston, Wayland, Winchester, Concord, Lexington and Brookline, and as far away as Beijing, South Korea, South Africa, Mexico and Columbia.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Sewataro’s Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a two-year leadership program for young adults who are interested in becoming camp counselors. Participants attend one four-week session each summer. The program’s objectives are to develop counselors who emphasize learning, fun and safety through a positive work ethic, leadership, and enthusiastic spirit and to provide its participants with a summer of personal growth and enjoyment. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to develop a sense of camaraderie and responsibility.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Sewataro is a family-run summer day camp. We are involved in the entire camp operation and take a personal interest in each camper. We feel Sewataro has something special to offer children, and we look forward to having you become part of the Sewataro family.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Individualized instruction in ballet technique, conditioning, repertory, and creative independent assignments will be given with the caring attention that is the hallmark of JMBT’s school. Participants will receive a student instructional workbook and other course materials thoughtfully designed to optimize comprehensive ballet training during times of necessary physical distancing.

Students will work closely with members of JMBT’s faculty in limited-size classes offering substantial individual feedback. Every student can expect considerable advancement from expert technical training and the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and produce solo performance videos of new, original choreography.

The Ballet at Home™ Summer Intensive Course© is intended for committed students who understand that current social restrictions do not have to prevent them from making the progress they typically expect from a live intensive summer program.

1:15-2:15 PM “Dancer’s Hour: New Windows into the World of Ballet”: A new series featuring guest artists and other speakers on various ballet topics including health issues, stories of great ballets and famous dancers, and other forms of dance that contribute to ballet performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: AUDITION REQUIREMENT
Students not previously enrolled in JMBT programs or not previously accepted into the 2020 Summer Performance Intensive will be asked to submit an audition video consisting of an adage at the barre, an adage in the centre, and an allegro combination with turns. All exercises should be 32 counts. Videos do not need to be professional quality.

Audition videos should be submitted by email to Gabrielle Domb (gdomb[AT]ballettheatre.org). The deadline to submit a video is June 18.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Kreative Kidz camps are fun, high-energy programs that allow young people to fully engage their imaginations as they experience the thrill of creating live theatre. From learning the basic techniques of acting for the stage, to developing improvisation and physical comedy skills, to putting it all together in a public performance, it will be a summer your child will never forget. Students participate in a wide variety of theatre activities--including improvisation, scene study, storytelling, creative writing, and group singing--all taught by caring teachers dedicated to meeting each child at his or her level.

Classes emphasize drama games and exercises designed to increase spontaneity, engage the imagination, promote self-confidence, and encourage ensemble spirit. At the end of each week, students share their work in a free performance which is open to the public.

Peter Pan - July 9-13
Wendy Darling mesmerizes her brothers every night with bedtime tales of swordplay, swashbuckling and the fearsome Captain Hook. But the children become the heroes of an even greater story, when Peter Pan flies into their nursery one night and brings them to Neverland. The Lost Boys, Pirates, Tinkerbelle and all the wonderful characters will come to life this week.

Bravo for Broadway - July 16-20
This week we’ll be working on past and current Broadway musicals. With skits, songs and dances from popular shows.

Superheroes and Villains - July 23-27
Calling all superheroes! Students will dress up like their favorite heroes and villains. We’ll create a script together with characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Hulk, and Iron Man.

Pop Star Studio - July 30-Aug 3
Spend the week feeling like a pop star! Students will perform solos, duets and group numbers. They will also learn choreography to some of their favorite songs. This camp is a chance for students of all talent levels to have time in the spotlight.

Laugh Out Loud – Aug 6-10
Get ready to laugh the week away, with hilarious and outrageous skits written by the students themselves. It’s sure to be a week full of fun.

Trolls – Aug 13-17
After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the very grumpy Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our wooded 5 acre campus features an outdoor Olympic size swimming pool, playing fields, indoor and outdoor classroom spaces, a low ropes course and multiple play structures,climbing walls and swing sets.

Thank you for your interest in working at Brewster Day Camp. Established in 1981, BDC is accredited by the American Camp Association. We pride ourselves on high teaching standards and the fact that we welcome back more than half of each previous summer's wonderful staff. At Brewster Day Camp, we have fun while challenging and nurturing children and supporting their families. We look forward to adding to our cadre of talented and dedicated educators.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Taekwondo classes, after-school program and summer program

CAMP FACILITIES: Our school is made up of 4 buildings. We house 70 dorm rooms, a dining hall, classrooms, library, media centers and much more. We have 6 tennis courts, an outdoor pool, fitness center, art and theater areas. Outside we are set on 100 acres of land that include forest and vast open spaces. Our barn is our pride and joy and at this point is the home to 35 school horses.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Speak Up I: Introduction to Debate and Public Speaking Camp is designed for campers who have little or no experience in speaking in front of a group. Our goals are to have fun and learn some ways to use our voices effectively.

Speak Up II: This camp is designed for high school students ready to refresh, refine, and advance their public speaking skills. Gain confidence as you learn from and with others who are seeking to enhance their voice powers/amplify their voices? in a fun, supportive environment!

Performing Arts: Campers will take part in dance, voice and theater.

Bonnie Castle Equestrian: Premiere riding camp for beginner and experienced riders. This summer we will be offering the British Horse Society Program challenge awards, where campers will work at their own pace to complete learning opportunities as equestrians.

Campers are taught by Stoneleigh-Burnham staff. Counselors for the residential programs are CPR and first aid certified as well as we complete criminal offender and sex offender background checks.

Speak Up camps are for debate and public speaking. Campers will learn the art of conversational and competitive speaking. As well as learn to use their voce for effective communication and advocacy.
